Very disappointing, is this the best the Gold Cost has to offer? It is more like a Farmerless Farmers market, apart from a couple of good stalls everything else was thoroughly boring and the quality very poor, price for me is not the issue, I want quality product, I could see that perhaps price is for some of the people that come here to shop here the main driver as it reminds me of a cheap wholesale fruit & veggies place with produce that is neither particularly fresh or good quality, some cheap and nasty produce, some expensive and nasty produce. Only a couple of stalls selling anything Organic, one really great wholefoods stall which was really lost in this market. Sunday, stay in bed.

It seems like ReggaeQueen meant to leave a 5 star rating, and not a single star. I would agree that after going to this market for the last 5 weeks I am delighted to let everyone know that at last the Gold Coast has a market to be proud of. There is a stall that I found there called Delicious and they sell a unique blend of Australian Gourmet foods and after arriving last year from Melbourne I have been in withdrawal for some of these brands. OK, some are sourced locally from the Sunshine Coast and this region has some great product but you can't beat some of the Cheeses from South Australia and Gypsland also gourmet brands like Bitton and Matchett, all I can say is I am in heaven!

The fruit and veg you buy from here last for ages, why? - they are
fresh and have not been sitting in supermarket storage for 6 to 12
months. The prices are not cheaper than the supermarket, but you want
fresh this is where to come. Its a cute market, not too big and you can
do your weekly shop here for 30 dollars or so. It is nice to enjoy the
music too and sit down with a coffee or juice after the shopping is done.
We go every Sunday.

Great little markets. Granted they are not the biggest markets around, but the produce is great as are the prices. Have been here twice in the last month and both times filled two supermarket green bags with vegetables for about $25 - no way could you get that kind of value in the supermarket. The vegetables are so fresh they really last, unlike those from the supermarket that start rotting the minute you get them home. Also due to the location of the markets, there is plenty of parking available unlike some of the other local markets. This is definitely going to become part of our regular shopping routine.

I was expecting more. The produce sold here is pretty much the same price as you'd pay in a supermarket. The fruit and veg range isn't the biggest on the coast either and it's more spread out than other markets.
