We had a poor experience here in 2007 but we had forgotten why and hoped that things had improved so we arrived with an open mind. As the only diners in the restaurant for an early lunch we ordered the specials. Within mouthfuls of the main meals being presented, we were horribly reminded of why we have avoided this restaurant for the past two years. Until the management and chef are removed, we will not be returning. Posted 07 Oct 2008 by Quality Queen The pizza's are great, but the food is too salty. The staff are rude (one woman in particular) and they take ages to serve you your food. but the pizz'a are good. Posted 24 Sep 2008 by Katie Andrews The meal took an hour to get to the table, and it was not even busy .... there was only one other table besides us. The staff are extremely rude and abrupt. When we asked how long our meal was going to be … they pulled faces and replied when its ready it’ll come. One of the pasta dishes didn’t make it to the table and when we asked for it we got told the kitchen is closed, but we could have pizza instead. When we said it was ordered, the staff then started arguing in front of us. The food is below average, pizzas are soggy & pastas lack flavour but … the prices are high. I would never recommend this place to anyone! There are plenty of good Italian restaurants around here. Posted 15 Jul 2008 by CassC Still eating my meal when kitchen staff carry bags of rubbish past me, another wheels out a wheelie bin, meal was delicious but rubbish put me off a bit, does not say much for hygiene, also no toilets in restaurant itself, small and crowded. Posted 04 Jul 2008 by joni We have just had a meal at Cucina Mia, having dismissed this restaurant so many times due to its location. Well, I have to say its the best meal we have had since moving to the coast 16 months ago. Wonderful atmosphere, fantastic food, and great service. The staff were so friendly, very attentive, and knew their menu well. The best oysters I have in a long while. Well worth a visit and extremely good value for money. We shall return.
