I must admit after all the hype about this restaurant I was a little disappointed hence the 3.5. Whilst it is a lovely place to eat it is by far not the best establishment I've eaten at. I cook a lot at home and I guess I expect to be dazzled and intrigued by the food when dining out. There was no real "wow" factor for us. The wine list was in my opinion heavily over priced. As our wine was poured by our waiter it was done so in such a rough manner that it plopped out over the top of the glass onto the table in drops each time our glasses were topped up. Certainly no finesse there.. This was also the case with our water. I have never liked eating in a restaurant where they cover their tableclothes with paper. Quite a few establishments do this to economise on laundering however it makes me feel like a messy child. In this case it was the waiter who made the most of the paper as he continually spilt the wine. The French Fries left me cold.. I would expect a little more imagination and effort than French Fries considering the price and portion size of each meal. If I really wanted French Fries I would go to McDonalds. Sorry, but we probably would not go back.

As close to perfect as i've experienced! I took my boyfriend here for his birthday. The warm french farmhouse style decor is very inviting once you're inside, the atmosphere bustling with love & enjoyment. we were served a rabitt rillette as an amuse buche & french fries come complimentary with the main course. My duck confit was absolute bliss, our dessert (a chocolate & pear cake) was just heavenly. The whole night struck me as very authentic & a labour of love. I will definantly be back for seconds!

Top stuff! Agree with the previous posters. Steak tartare is ace. We had a very nice meal there. My only small criticism is that my roasted quail was a bit flavourless. Everything else was great - service, atmos, wines. My wife's cheese soufle was pretty special too.

Champagne Brasserie would have to be in my opinion the best restaurant on the gold coast.
Meticioulous service, fantastic authentic french food, and wonderful ambience.
The location is great to escape the noisy part of broadbeach, and enjoy an intimate quiet dinner!
Try the steak tartare if your adventurous or the steak bernaise! divine...

This restaurant is faultless. From the efficient, knowledgeable staff to the amazing authentic food. Everyone raves about Champagne and you must try it if you're after a great night out. The location isn't the best as it's under the Hi Ho motel but if it's great French food your after, this is it.
