You can tell that "You" is right on the money with the authentic Japanese fare by the number of Japanese frequenting the place. The menu is huge, literally! It is both huge in dimensions and in choice of dishes. I'd recommend the tuna or salmon sashimi, it's beautifully fresh due the number of patrons they get through the place. Be sure to book as it's popular with the locals and tourists alike. There's plenty of safe parking in the council car park on Beach Rd. You can get to the restuarant by walking through the arcade next to Melba's Bar.

This place is the real deal for authentic Japanese and it’s often packed so try to book if you’re going on a weekend as the dining room is small. The menu they hand you is huge and has lots of weird and interesting options such as chicken giblets, hearts etc but if you’re not too adventurous then stick to the usual such as chicken skewers, teriyaki, sushi, edamame beans (salted, fermented soy beans they serve as a starter snack) or fried tofu or eggplant dishes. The sour drinks (apparently Japanese rice alcohol-kinda like vodka) are nice as is the Asahi beer. If there’s no table space they’ll seat you at the bar which is great as you can watch the chefs in action.
