Displaying 1 - 5 of 6 Reviews Posted 21 Jun 2010 by restaurantfan01 I would give this place 4 stars. I have dined at this Restaurant 8 times since we have moved to the Gold Coast 12 months ago. The best service I receive is on a Sunday, there is an older Man who I think supervises, We never make a reservation however he seems to make a table for us with no fuss and is always pleasant. We seem to get the worst service when there is a lady in control, would not know her name though. There is one dish I could order over and over again which is the linguini pasta. This Pasta is absoutly delicious. What I love about arriving at the restaurant you walk past the kitchen and the chefs are always smiling and will say hello. There have been a few times where the waiters could know a little more about the menue however I apriciate when they apoligise and explain they have only worked in the restaurant a week or so, I apriciate the honesty. The prices for the meals I find ok however the beverage price are a tad expensive. The restaurant above have cheaper drinks which on some occasions have changed our mind. We enjoy a bottle of wine and a few cocktails with our meals but not at that price. Posted 07 Feb 2010 by Crawl Worst dining experience I've ever had. Right from the start the staff showed they had no idea how to run a dining facility. Poor people skills and no direction, the apparent manager (if you believe her) was discovered to have had only weeks experience in the Restaurant. She was rude and offered no leadership to her staff. The table waiters showed no knowledge of the menu and appeared to lack any understanding of the hospitality game. The food was more then disappointing, tastless and well over priced. (Not one of our group of 14 expressed that they enjoyed their food.) The location of the restaurant was the only positive point though this was nowhere near enought to save the experience. We will not be back. Posted 07 Oct 2009 by luv2dineout 3 stars is for the location. The decor is terribly dated...a lick of white paint 12months ago made no improvement. Needs a big lift. Food always just average, and staff are generally good, but can be a bit neglectful at times. Only reason to go here is to watch the ocean. I hope they fix the place up because its such a waste. Posted 23 Mar 2008 by Burleigh_Foodie Well we gave it another go and it wasn't much better...we went for lunch and it was incredibly hot...even with the weather shades open...so we weren't comfortable and the bubbles had to be consumed quickly to avoid insects :- The food was OK, I wouldn't go out of my way to order it AGAIN but I did like the idea of the champage and watermelon oysters as a starter and I wasn't disappointed...sadly the starter was the best part of the dining experience so we won't be back.
