Lauxes came to our rescue at the very last minute after being treated horribly across the road at Room 81 when setting up for a relative's birthday celebration. Michael was very understanding, found us a table, ensure we had a great evening and even served our cake, all with an hours notice. Food was spectacular and we had a great night despite feeling so let down just hours before. Would highly reccoment Lauxes for both its food AND its service!

Location is great, on the park with the birds in the evening. Deco is embarrassingly slutty don't take your granny. Menu is a very bad copy of the Moo Moo bar next door and defintely over priced. Don't bother booking a table because they will have no record of it when you arrive anyway. Staff are unbelievely rude, you'd think they were paying the bill. If you can't get a table at the Moo Moo you're better off at the Macdonalds then at Lausex. No worries, resturants like this don't stay in business for long lets hope its replaced with something worth while very soon.

Sorry I don't agree with the previous post, this is an upmarket bar/restaurant similar to other upmarket bar/restaurants I have visited in Sydney or Melbourne. I went to a degustation dinner at this venue with food and wine courses matched, both the food and wine were fantastic. I agree it is expensive, but you can see that before entering. A great spot for a romantic dinner with someone special.

Overpriced bar, pretending to be an up-market restaurant. If you want to hang with the wanna-be's, you will love this place. This is the GC at it's trashy best. The food isn't really dreadful, it is good for a few late drinks and great for some amusing people watching.
