Just a yum cha review
This place is very popular, but the day I went It was not very full, still I
was placed near the kitchen door which squeaked incessantly as the
trolleys and trays went in and out. The area I sat in was dirty and
unpleasant, the food was ok but expensive, many of the staff are indian
which is odd in a chinese restaurant.
Except for the lady at the front desk the staff work hard but seem
unusually exhausted, and down trodden not something we usually see in
Australia with our work laws.
I complained about the door on the way out but it wouldn't surprise me if
it still squeaks I feel this place thinks its awards, it won many years ago
and the lack of competition, means it just dosnt have to try, I would go
as far as saying they just don't give a damm I wont go again .

this place is always packed out on sunday where we com for Yum Cha, and it is easy to see why. The atmoshere is heaving with asian and non asian diners enjoying their food in the appropriately decorated though a little dim setting. the food is very good though the service can be slow and u may have to order something a couple of time before it actually reaches your table, unless it comes at the end of your meal when u are actually too full to eat it. the food is freshly made and you can really taste it. the prawn and chive dumplings are superb as are the barbeque pork buns and roast duck. i would recommend making a reservation though everyone seems to get a table eventually.
