An outstanding experience. The only regret is that we didn't stay the night.

I would agree with Goldie. I have been to Songbirds on four occasions. Some for special occasions. On all occasions I have found the food to be exceptional and creative. Yes I have had to wait on some occasions for quite a long time. However, it has been on Mothers day for example when the restaurant has been fully booked and the kitchen is being slammed. To some people, this would be an unacceptable wait but if you are not in a hurry, the food Is really worth it. The wait staff on all occasions I have found to be extremely attentive and apoligetic if you are waiting. I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to have a great experience with innovative produce driven food.

Yikes it sounds like Diner had a bad experience because we went there today for lunch and everything was fantastic. We arrived at about 12pm which was when the restaurant was quieter so maybe that's why we got such great service but the food is absolutely amazing and they deserve all the awards they have hanging on the wall. Perhaps the service is a bit hit and miss because my dad went there for his birthday and said it was very slow and complained but today they were definately on the ball. It's a beautiful garden setting and kookaburra's were flying around even stealing chips from a nearby table! I had the consomme soup and wagyu steak and both were fantastic. Will go again.

We went to Songbirds for the 4th occassion for my daughter's birthday last Sunday. The food and service on this occassion was more like you would expect in a hotel bistro. We waited over an hour for our meals, mains came out at the same time as entrees, the servings were much smaller than on previous occassions and despite being aware it was our daughters birthday they made no special effort, even though they did so for the next table. To make matters worse they brushed aside our concerns. All in all thoroughly disappointing.

My wife and I had our first visit to Songbirds around 6-7 months ago. It came highly recommended by my daughter's girlfriend. On arrival to the North Tambourine we turned a steep driveway that wound through a tropical rain forest opening into a large car park area. The entrance to the restaurant is by way of a beautifully landscaped pathway and grounds (50 acres) leading all the way to the front door. We were escorted to an outside edge table by a lovely young hostess who was very friendly and helpful. After 3 courses we were not disappointed. The food was second to none. Truly 5 star dining, easy to see why they have won so may awards - Well done guys
