I recently dined here, and I have to say it wasn't too flash. Yes the
meals are enormous, (if I were to go again I would SHARE a meal), the
prices are reasonable for the portion size, but I found the service and
food quality poor. With such an extensive menu, and as new customers,
we were deciding on our meals, only to be pestered by not one but 3
waitstaff I would say at least 10 times in a 15 minute period. This
restaurant treats customers as numbers, trying to get you in and out as
quick as possible to make way for more people. With at least 20 spare
tables on this particular night I was highly agitated by being rushed
through our courses.

I have to disagree with the above post, I have been to this restaurant twice for friends birthdays , and i simply donnot understand how they are still in business its just soo crap i cannot think of one thing i like about it.
Its in such a beautifulbuilding with all the glass windows and they ahve ruined it and made it look alike an RSL at best.
The serive is okay , the food OMG its cheap cuts , cooked poorly and tasteless , yes they stack on the fries/mash but seriously its not enjoyable.
I just dont understand the hype over this place .

This restaurant is a Gold Coast institution. It has been here forever and still run and owned by the same Greek man for over 20 years. My family have been coming here for almost that long aswell.
Atmosphere: While the decor has been described as a bit tacky with fake plants everywhere and fairy lights out the front, i think it makes the place eccentric and loveable.
Food: Free toasted Garlic Turkish bread is served the minute you sit down. Be warned though, don't eat too much because the meals are HUGE and all come with fries and salad or veg.
Hint: Have the Feta and Olives as an entree. It is the best I have ever tasted!!
