Myself and 2 others went to this resurant on a thursday night. Firstly we got given our garlic bread which was cold and stale, i went to the bar to order drinks and i was standing there while the woman was serving another person, she then turned to me and shouted 'next please' when i was literally 1 metre away. The service there is shit, except one male waitress who is very ploite and will help even if his busy, the rest have no customer service. When i had finally got my meal (chicken snitzel) it wasnt even cooked properley it had raw bits and brown bits???plus the cooked bits. I think they need to work on the staff and the price of the meals are pathetic for what you get.

I live near this restuarant and a common mistake is people order the seafood. Steer clear of it. If it was nice seafood at one stage, by the time they cook it and drown it in whatever sauce u've asked for it's ruined. The Servings are huge. The Calamari i have found is good most of the time, but it's the steaks that i have found to be worthwhile. This is a good place for a large group, you go to the bar to get your drinks and the prices are fair. This is a good restuarant to share meals. I wouldn't reccomend a romatic meal for 2 here as it is noisey and child friendly.

Hadn't been to this place for at least 10 years and was quite honestly dreading it yesterday after reading the reviews. In fact I was pleasantly surprised. Our fish and bug meals were delicious even though too big - but you don't have to eat it all or you can some home. The salad was basic but edible and fine. The chips were hot, crunchy and delicious. The complimentary garlic bread oily, garlicky but complimentary - so eat it or leave it. It was Monday night, pretty quiet and not much ambience but great spot for a large family occasion and staff very good. Never going to be a 5 star joint - you have to go to the bar for your drinks but the drinks are cheap, the napkins normally advertise another restaurant, you never need a booking as it's so large and the service is fine. In fact the older ladies who work as wait staff looked after us just as well as they did 10 years ago. Because of the portions it's great value for money but not neccesarily cheap. In fact one dish is enough for 2 people. The seafood is fresh, the steaks are excellent quality but just too large for me. It doesn't have the best decor but it's spotless, seating comfortable and tables nice and big. I think it's a place you need to give a go and make up your own mind. It's been there for many many years and must be doing something right.

Having a family with 5 brothers and 3 sisters with 3 of us married 2 of us with children when we choose to eat out we make sure it can accommodate our large family which Ashmore Seafood and Steak does without even needing a booking. Knowing that the meals are HUGE we don't eat so much of the free garlic bread but the kids love it. The steak is a VERY descent size which all male members of my family can eat easily so they are very happy the meal comes with salad and chips with the choice of a side of bugs or prawns. The women in my family usually ALWAYS order an entree for our main meal as the meals are too large for us. The food is delicious and the prices are descent. Has become a regular restaurant for family outings and birthdays.

the free garlic bread was crap the steak was way too big and not good the ceasar was not good the oysters were nice and the calamari if you want to get a heart attack then go on and eat here - better off staying home and making a nice salad so you can live a bit longer
