I am very disappointed with this business!!! I am a Mermaid Beach local and sure...the food here is ok, but you can never guarantee what time or day these guys are open ...and more to the point..The response you receive from the staff behind the counter is unpredictable!! To walk into a restaurant which has its door open and lights on and be talked to in a condescending fashion on more than one occasion is enough reason to spread the word that Milano's Italian no more than 500 metres up the road is a much more inviting and tastier option!! Manners don't cost money!!!!

I like Trio for the unpretentious cool atmosphere. Relaxed midweek dinner option : ) Food is not to die for but it's consistent and enjoyable. Ravioli Ricotta with Bolognese sauce is a good pick as is the Chili Prawns Fettuccine. If you want a good steak order the Steak with Prawns. Not setting the world on fire, but not claiming to which makes the food and value a stand out. Staff are cool as well.

We came here on the weekend to see if this little unassuming restaurant lived up to the hype. It did. It's just off the Gold Coast highway so getting a park can be a little tricky but this casual small restaurant is great when you're wanting a low key but yummy dinner. We booked and lucky we did because the dining room isn't huge and it was packed out. We ordered a variety of pasta dishes (cannelloni, lasagne and tortellini with a spicy bacon, tomato and chilli sauce.) The service was friendly, the garlic pizza bread and pizza's cooked to perfection - crispy base with just the right amount of topping. Highly recommended for affordable, casual but super yummy Italian.

Mmmmm Trio Romano. Over the years I have been coming to this cute little Italian ala carte restuarant and not once have I been disappointed with the food or service. They have a large selection of dishes to choose from and they're all made to perfection!! I love bringing new friends or out of towners here. The seating is quite intimate, but once you're seated, who cares! They are BYO and there's a bottleshop straight across the road. Locals love the place so try to book a day or two in advance.

The best kept culinary secret on the southern Gold Coast. I have been going for years, but it still surprises me how many locals have no idea this place exists. The food is excellent: it's a case of pick anything randomly from the menu, and you can rest assured it will be delicious! The indoors section is very intimate (close/crowded), but this just adds to the atmosphere. The outdoor section can be a little noisy, as it's on the side of the Gold Coast Hwy, but once again, the food more than makes up for it. The Lasagne is especially good! The only down side mentioned by one of our dinner gusts was the fact that she had to walk through the kitchen to get to the bathroom. Awesome!!
