We had Valentines dinner at the Woodchopper. It costs $ 45 ph. The entree was ok. for mains fish which was very dry and some fancy named chicken breast which was very small and plain tasting. Cheese cake was even worse, no taste.

We went here for dinner the other night and it's a cosy pub for a beer but the restaurant is a little outdated and daggy. The mains weren't cheap averaging $27-$30. I ordered the twice cooked duck and my partner had the oysters with crab meat and our friend ordered the lamb shanks. We had some complimentary steamed veggies which wasn't mentioned on the menu (you have to pay for all sides eg veggeis and fries) The food was nice and the service was quick and friendly but I kept thinking that for these prices I could have dined somewhere a lot more upmarket with nice views. It is quite a popular dinner venue though and I guess it's popular with the locals.

Love this place, it has fantastic food and a great atmosphere. The bar area is warm and cosy with a fireplace and has a real english pub feel. The food in the restaurant is 5 star quality and has a nice outlook of the mudgeeraba parklands. Try the Crispy skin Salmon, it is out of this world!
