Against my better judgement, I gave Benowa Gardens Seafood a try again after months of going elsewhere. Its a Thursday night and I was told my food would be ready in 20 minutes. An hour later - we are still waiting. Last time - EVER.

Come on Shane if you are going to write or get someone to write a five star review or reviews probably best to do it different days and when they both don't come from Nerang anyhow I am a sometime customer of yours who knows of several shops who sell seafood in your area that are a lot cheaper and just as fresh and tasty as you and my thought is they have a lot of other items likes burgers etc that offer my family great quality well priced alternatives when not all of us want fish and chips I would encourage foodferret and food4life to stop at some of the shops they pass on the way from Nerang and they might get a very pleasant surprise and save heaps anyway shall see you next time I can afford your red emperor

I go a here a fair bit for raw fish and also cooked fish & chips. I drive from Nerang for it and I think Benowa Gardens, Pete's seafood and charris are the best on the coast (not in that order). I recently got snapper raw and a fillet of salmon which were both really good cooked at home. The snapper fillet was about $12 and the salmon about $7 i think? The other night i had fish of day and chips with a serve of calamari which was great. I didn't want spend the extra on a snapper fillet, but the fod was still really good. so was the calamari. Most times i've been to benowa its always been fresh and they clean their oil. Recommended ++

I live in Nerang and pass five seafood shops to get to Benowa Gardens Seafoods. I go to BGS simply because of the quality and consistency of their product. Nothing seems too much trouble. If I want my fresh fish cut in a particular way or I want this or that cooked just so, they'll do it - and with a smile.. The owner - Shane is one knowledgable fellow.. Been in the trade for years and seems to know everyone. Another thing that tickles me pink is that all their staff address everyone of their regular customers by name. Shop is very clean, and have you ever noticed that it never smells.. Staff are well presented and very courteous and helpful. I reckon that for my dollar, its worth the trip. Cheers, you lot. Great staff. Great shop. Great seafood.

Consistently good food, especially the calamari and chips $7.50 special. You cant beat that for taste and value!
