i have to say its the best takeaway ive been to on the gold coast. cheap too, but the quality of the food can compete with higher end restaurants. they need to get better advertising, people are missing out!

House Of Satay is one of the best local indonesian/thai around the nerang and carrara area. ordered takeaway most times and found the owners to very friendly and always on time. The food is always reliable and tasty. Stacks up against Benny's which is the other end of pappas way and just as good, if not better than Worongary Thai down the highway. The Kwetiaw is a favorite.

Food was great, me and a flat mate decided to have House Of Satay since it was very close to our house. The food is excellent, fresh, oriental and they know how to cook! It is excellent value for money, I guess the reason I just dont eat House Of Satay very often is because I just dont eat much satay food! Great place to spend a night out for dinner.

We came here for a mid-week dinner and I have to say I was really impressed! It's next to the garlic clove restaurant and amongst a cluster of shops. It's not very well advertised - a wooden sign with coloured lights around is the only signage and inside the restaurant is sparse but the woman serving us was very polite and friendly. The soups were large servings and the mains were very well spiced and authentic tasting. The meat wasn't fatty or cheap tasting at all and the serving sizes were all HUGE and the mains only cost $12-$14. This is a classic example of a little suburban restaurant trying hard and they deserve all the loyal customers and publicity they can get.

The food is excellent. You can tell it's very fresh and cooked to perfection on the spot. It's great that you can choose mild, medium or spicy, because trust me it can get very hot! No need to dress up as it's a very casual eatery. I presume it's a family business. They know their stuff. Really very nice people, so friendly! They deserve to be in a flash restaurant and making serious money. It really is that good!
