High quality food that you pay handsomely for. The biggest problem is as SL73 mentioned, the staff. Generally they never write down your order and often walk away before you have finished talking. A number of times, items we have ordered have been left off or prepared incorrectly. Last time we went, it took more than half an hour for coffee and some breakfast because the waitress left the food in the holding bay while she polished silver and chatted with other staff. We have eaten here many times and the quality of service is truely on the decline. Also, don't expect an apology of any sort for this behaviour, obviously they aren't interested in return customers.

One of my absolute favourites. Eaten many times for breakfast and lunch and have been so satisfied every time. Staff are very friendly and very helpful, they will get you anything you request. Best coffee too and of course, the best atmosphere of the Ferry Rd markets. Very relaxing. I cannot prasie it enough.

Finally some excellence on the Gold Coast. A really wonderful place to relax & enjoy some fabulous food. Great menu selection. Tony is a very personable, happy host, who is willing to do whatever he can to make your experience at Spendelove comfortable. A quality chef goes along way & they clearly have this at Spendelove. The customer service is very good. You can sit back, read the paper or flick through gossip magazines while you sip on your cuppa. Terrific place to have a function. Awards, fashion parades, social gatherings, group bookings all take place with ease at this spacious location at Ferry Rd. I strongly recommend a visit to Spendelove so you can make your own mind up. Used to love this place but over time the staff have become a little complacent and prefer congregating by the register to gossip rather than be attentive to the customers. Bit of shame as we always used to go their with larger groups because of its central location and lovely atmosphere. We are not all yummy mummies who just go there to be seen, some us just want to enjoy a pleasant morning or afternoon out with good food and good service!!!!!!

Yum. Went here for breakfast this morning and ordered the mini spendelove - 2 poached eggs, bacon and grilled tomato. This modern upmarket cafe was also recently featured in this month's Delicious 'cafe' book and they featured their bircher muesli. Highly recommended for awesome breakfast. Sit at the communal table and read the free papers and magazines while you wait. Service is always A+ but we didn't get our juices until we were half way through our meals but we didn't mind. The wait staff are always friendly and helpful and the meals are all reasonably priced. You can tell they use only the best ingredients too. I love this place!
