The dissapointment is that someone who obviously does not know what they are talking about can sit here and write such horrible things about such a great restaurant! i dine at Red Rock 3 times a week, as it is my favourite restaurant on the Gold Coast and i never have a problem. Obviously 'food lover' is a very hard person to please. i myself have been in the hospitality industry a few years back and it is a very hard job but the Red Rock crew do a wonderful job to satisfy every customer. Everything about the restaurant is great; the food, the entertainment, coffees (fantastic! best on the coast) etc. I know many people who dine at Red Rock an absolutely love it. It is the talk of the town!

What a dissapointment. After having such an enjoyable experience last time, to have to drop down to that level. I ordered the seafood risotto (again), unfortunately, the rice was not cooked, and the seafood - specifically the squid and calamari was as tough as old shoe leather! The ribs were good (again), however, to have to pay full price for practically inedible food is a crime - the waitress agreed the rice wasn't cooked, and then proceeded to chastize me for not saying something sooner (I couldn't get her attention!). We won't be going back.

The first time we went, we were thrilled to have a wonderful dining experience. Very good service, and a meal to adore. My companion had the ribs - stupidly tender, but with a strong pork flavour. I had an incerdible seafood risotto ($23 -I think), and we ended up having a complimentry port at the end.
The second time was extremly ordinary. Pizza and pasta night - don't bother. Childish pasta and soggy pizza.
The 3rd time was again superior. The service was a little lacking, but again the food was the winner. More ribs for my companion, and I tried the awesomely good seafood hot pot (it wasn't hot as in spicy - nor should it be), just a wonderful way to present fresh seafood.
We WILL return.
