I dinned here recently after a wonderful experience at the Palm Beach resturant and I have to say, I was very disappointed. The atomsphere was terrible; there wasn't even any Indian backround music to make up for it. The interior is of a low standard as was the overall cleanliness. It needs a good, hard scrub if anything. Before our meal the waiter brought out an appetizer and said our meals would be 5 minutes. We showed our appreciation but that disappeared after we wrongfully consumed stale lentil balls. They were completely stale and had obviously been left overs. The sauce that accompained it was bright neon green and I was too afraid to eat it. I would of rather waited 'the 5 mjnutes' (which was fine because we hadn't been waiting long at all) instead of being offered stale food. Most of us ordered the butter chicken and cleary stated we'd like it mild and were reassured that 'The butter chicken is a meal for those who don't like it too hot'. That was certainly not the case when it was very, very spicy. I ordered the Chicken korma curry and was disappointed. It tasted like fake slimey chicken. It didn't taste like the fresh one I make at home. The naan bread and papadums were nice but that's it. I will not be dining there again. Compared to the one in Palm Beach it's a disgrace. The staff were nice but they didn't have this 'You're my

I have joined this site basically to express my disapointment at this venue.Having eaten at the southport shop for years and loving it,I have to say that the broadbeach store is a dirty slophouse. My 1/2 Tandoori chicken was dried out to the extent of RSL yesterdays roast, the pokhoras had the flavour of warm batter. The naan bread was good, could have hot, but good enough to eat.Being looked down on by a "Im better than you dont talk to me" waiter really ticks me off. This is the hospitality industry not Boggo road jail. Send your staff to Southport to train and while your at it cleaning lessons would be good.If the kitchen is of the standard of the dining room, building and surrounds, well, it must need a good 3 day makeover with soap. ps If the chef is seen by the customers make sure they wash their uniforms. If you see grease marks running up the sides of their pants they obviously dont wash their hands. Go to southport if your game ,its OK in fact good

I always look forward going out for dinner here and it's become one of my favourite Gold Coast restaurants. The food is always fantastic - the tandoori chicken comes out sizzling on a hot plate with onions and raita yoghurt sauce. The curries such as kormas, masalas or the ever favourite butter chicken are great and for the more adventurous there's kangaroo and goat curries. Vegetarians will also be happy as there's a wide range of vego friendly dishes to choose from. On some nights they have live Indian music and even when busy the staff are usually on the ball.
