@ SecretSquirrel You obviously haven't been there recently. The new owners have replaced the tacky, old-style decorations with simple and tasteful ambiance without overdoing it. I've done some homework and found out the chef had cooked in some of Melbourne's top Chinese restaurants for over 20 years. He's been on the Gold Coast for nearly that long again and you may have already eaten his food but not known it because of all the different places he's worked in. They don't play the radio and they don't have inattentive staff. I've had both takeaway and dined in and fresh food is definitely better straight off the wok (dine in). Try this food and you won't want to drive 10 minu

This Restaurant (under its new management) has the most delicious and freshest Chinese food I have ever tasted. Unlike, your traditional Chinese restaurants that are filthy and fly-ridden, due to ripped fly-screens and doors that are hard to open and close - Ming Court Carrara offers pleasant dining in a relatively modern environment, setting a new standard for Chinese restaurants on the Gold Coast. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves their Chinese food, crispy, fresh, and delicious!

This place is definitely better to take away from rather than dine in. Maybe it has something to do with the tacky décor, the fading in and out static ABC radio or the inattentive staff. Ok if you’re in dire need of a mid week takeaway meal and you’re a Carrara local but there’s much better locally available, even if it does mean a 10 minute drive.
