The food here is just ok. I had Beef Pho, my husband Combination Beef Pho. The soup stock itself was quite tasty - but I was very disappointed with the fresh herbs - one tiny little sprig of coriander, with about 3 leaves - which was to be shared between us, and the Vietnamese mint was old, limp and tough. The beef in the Pho was not very good at all. Instead of nice paper thin strips - it was rather big chunks that looked that appeared to have undergone a lot of 'tenderising' by some means. The thing I dislike most about this restaurant is that it is very dirty. The outside window sills and glass windows look like they have never been cleaned at all. The backs of the chairs, behind the seat cushion, and the chair legs were filthy - and the carpet was revolting - almost black in places. I always wonder what the kitchen is like, when the 'front of house' is so poorly cleaned. We will not return.

I have been back several times now and will continue to do so. Maybe I struck a bad day when I first went (see my review of 4 Dec 2008). But sice then I have been left satisfied with quality, pricing and service on each occasion

Headed here on a tip from a local. So glad we ignored review 1 & 3 and
went with review #2. Service was really friendly and the Owner WAS
lovely! We went with house specials, Grilled Pork Chop with Lemon
Grass, Spring Rolls and Sugar Cane Prawns. Owner tipped the boys off
about Deep Fried Ice Cream which they make here. Sounds weird but
the boys LOVED it! We'll be back for sure.

It was my daughters birthday her choice for dinner was vietnamese,
and as we were in this area I checked out the recomendations for this
restaurant. We usually go to the viet hoa gardens much further south.
The staff were pleasant and the room had a sprinkling of vietnamese
dinners always a good sign but this restaurant failed to follow up the do
it yourself spring rolls was messily presented the sauce no real flavor
just sweet, changed for western taste the spicy beef was not spicy. I
could see some other people eating soups that seemed to be lacking
their usual dressing of herbs and beanshoots if you like chinese and are
not looking for a bargain and you have just spent the day eating at one
of the world you will probably enjoy this.

I went with my family and we just LOVED this restaurant! We had booked a Thai place nearby but left after sitting down as the ambience was horrible and prices expensive. So we drove up to Saigon Palace. Loved the hostess, thinking she was the owner. A very lovely and polite lady and the food was to die for! Very very impressed! We shared 6 entrees and 6 mains and had all u can eat rice. Stand out dishes was the entree of roast quail and main the chicken with lemongrass & chilli. We will definitely be returning, great value.
