Previous 5 Listings Posted 19 Feb 2010 by Robbo10 Without doubt, this place has the rudest staff I have ever encountered ANYWHERE! The food is okay,but a bit pricey for the quality, but it is the staff, particularly the young female bar staff who absolutely ruin any positive atmosphere this place might have. They are lazy, slow to serve and arrogant and rude when question about anything.I have never complained about a place before, but avoid this pub at all costs - at least until they get a manager who can organise decent, friendly, welcoming staff. Posted 11 Oct 2009 by Jez I went for dinner here on Friday night. We booked a booth, which was a bit of pain coz if one wants to get in and out the whole row has to move. I went with 4 adult friends and a 9 year old. You order and pay at the counter and pay and get your drinks separately at the bar. Not first class but cheapish I suppose. My kid got the nuggets and chips. It came out with a lot of salad and dressing drizzled on it. A big no no for kids, especially as it was not stated on the menu. Anyway my kid is allergic to egg, there is egg in dressing. So I said to the waitress could you take it back. She said, you didn't tell me he was allergic to egg. I said I didn't realise it came with salad and dressing. She was quite rude about it, but reluctantly replaced the meal. I had the petite steak. It was plenty big enough for me and the salad I got was good. I really wanted veges but you had to pay extra for that if I remember correctly. The chips were good too. Shame they don't get with the times and post a menu on the internet, that would be helpful. So to sum up the waitress was pretty grumpy so our night was not that pleasant, good service with a smile goes a long way and changes the experience to a better one. After reserving a table at the Bistro's recommendation we arrived a poultry 9 minutes late, had to wait a further 10 minutes in line to be seated; at which time informed that we were late and the table had been given away. Enquired if another table was available, and was ignored and quickly dismissed by THE RUDEST RECEPTIONIST I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED!!!! THE RECEPTIONIST QUICKLY CALLED "NEXT" AND COMPLETELY IGNORED US!!! THEREFORE WE WERE A WILLING AND PAYING PARTY OF 7 WHO WERE LEFT DUMFOUNDED AT THE WORST SERVICE IMAGINABLE!!! We asked to speak to the manager, and were AGAIN ignored!! A waitress then called the "manager" over, who appeared to be little more than a junior work experience lad, who could not comprehend or resolve the woeful attitude of his staff ? As discerning consumers we took the only solution and promptly walked out, NEVER TO RETURN!!!! DINERS BEWARE; MY RECOMMENDATION IS TO AVOID THIS ESTABLISHMENT AT ALL COSTS, SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE!!!!!!! Posted 28 Jan 2009 by Ali We went there for dinner last night and was very disapointed with the service, the prices ( this is a pub not an alacarte restaurant) and the seating is disgustings and is defiantely in need of a revamp. It is not hard to put vegetables on a plate instead of salad. My kids had the choice of seafood, pizza or nuggets nothing healthy there. When the food did come out it was tasy except my daughter wanted veges not salad. Overall very disapointed. Food is always great and staff usually good if you get the ones that have been there for more that 1week..$13 T Bone, chips and salad you can't go wrong! Compare this to a $30 eye fillet from a certain stake place in Southport near a bridge and the DP wins hands down!
