Food is a little expensive in Food Frenzy especially for club food, although food is served up and replaced regularly it still has the school canteen taste of mass produced food. A tip for better food is the little cafe next door and prices are more reasonable.

Southport sharks is popular with the nearby uni crowd, price conscious pensioners and local families.
The club has a sports bar, cocktail bar and grill restaurant as well as a large pokies area that thankfully is well hidden around the corner.
The main eatery is ‘Sharky’s Place’ which reminded me of a school canteen where you queue for your share of oily, dried out food dished out from industrial sized stainless steel trays. The options change daily and can include meals such as: cottage pie, roasts, soup, asian meals, satay chicken etc. They do buffet’s at night and for Sunday lunch.
There is also a small cafe, located in the centre of the main dining area.
I thought the food was overpriced, over oiled and frankly you can get a much nicer and better value meal at many of the other taverns and pubs around the coast.
