Twisted Sista Cafe Byron Bay

Byron Bay September 9th, 2007

We came here for a quick bite of breakfast before heading back up to the Gold Coast.
Having eating rich curries only hours before neither of us wanted anything heavy so we just ordered coffees, a croissant and some toasted sourdough which both came with butter and jam.
It’s a casual cafe which was popular when we visited at breakfast time. They brought out some smoked salmon bagels to put in the glass display which looked fantastic though a little on the pricey side at $9. Our breakfasts were only about $5 - $6 each. The waitress was a bit brusque and bashed down our coffees and meals. If you want a casual breakfast then it’s ok but I would prefer other cafe’s and restaurants for lunch in Byron such as one of my favourites - fishmongers cafe which I didn’t get around to this time.

I LOVED their Macadamia baked cheesecake! My best friend and i shared a piece as it was $8 a slice and we are meagre university students…but as we spooned a mouthful into our mouths we agreed this slice of heaven was WELL worth it! i cannot wait to go back and get another piece myself - it was thick and rich and i’ve never had one HALF as good! thankyou! xox
