Massimo, Hastings Street Noosa

Noosa September 2nd, 2007

I used to go up to Noosa every year as a kid for the annual Christmas time family holiday and I remember when Massimo’s opened. It was the first time i’d ever tried pistachio ice cream and I’ve been addicted ever since! I’m also partial to their ferrero rocher, coconut, mango and pretty much every other flavour ice cream and gelati that they make.
Massimo is an icon on Hastings street. They make all their own ice cream and sorbet and each type has such intense flavours, you’ll never get another ice cream anywhere else in Noosa again. The Australian Gourmet Traveller 2008 restaurant guide rightly describes it as ‘the states best gelato.’

Location: 75 Hastings Street, Noosa

It was a warm afternoon and Massimo’s was packed. There’s only a couple of seats to sit on out on the deck but pretty much everyone walks with their ice cream along the boardwalk by the beach.
