I’ve heard of death by chocolate - in fact there used to be a dessert shop called that here on the Gold Coast many years ago but the other night a friend of mine who’s in the coffee business told me she read a story about a girl who overdosed on coffee. Apparently she drank 7 double espresso’s and ended up with heart palpitations, a temperature and became a nervous wreck.
Another story today states that a mans heart stopped after drinking 8 cans of Red Bull.
I have fond memories of my uni days drinking V (before Red Bull made it’s mark) which not surprisingly always sold out at the Uni canteen well before any other soft drink or drink but I confess that the last time I have drunk one of these energy drinks was when Jager bombs were all the rage about a year ago. The only time I have to keep myself in check from overdosing on caffeine is when I buy those chocolate covered coffee beans….
