Nerang Farmers Market

Markets August 18th, 2007

Farmers markets have experienced a huge resurgence in Australia so much so that Australia Post has brought a range of stamps featuring four iconic makets from around Australia.
It was great to see so many people out early last Sunday at the Nerang farmers markets. These markets are one of the largest farmers markets on the Gold Coast and you can get some really cheap fruit and vegetables, bread, plants and other home made crafts. With the quality of fruit and vegetables in the supermarkets so poor most of the time, it’s worth the effort and the reduced sleep in. I’ve also heard that the Marina Mirage markets are great but they’re on a Saturday morning and often I’m too busy doing other things to get there. What other farmers markets do people on the Gold Coast like to go to?
