Congratulations to Milawa Cheese in VIC who took out the Grand Champion Cheese award for their Milawa Gold cheese at the Melbourne Specialist Cheese Show. We were in NE VIC about 2 weeks ago and went to the Milawa Cheese Factory (as well as to Brown Brothers Winery which was just up the road) and took home a good chunk of a wheel of this cheese. It went down very well accompanied by some home made salami’s, crackers and red wine though this gooey cheese is really full of flavour so a little bit goes a really long way. Will have to try to track it down to see if anywhere in QLD sells it.
